Launceston Young Farmers Club was established in 1947 and is run by members for members.
We have weekly meetings on Thursdays which range from talks on homeopathy or photography to activities such as circus skills or beach barbeques and visits to farms, tourist attractions and businesses.
We take part in many competitions and events across the county and country with great sucess, and do the odd bit of socialising as well...
The club is a charitable organisation itself, but we also engage in fundraising events for other charities, raising over £2000 last year.
Members range in age from 16 to 26 and anyone is welcome to join.
THINKING ABOUT JOINING?
Want to be part of a rural youth club run by people like you? Want to have a laugh and make lots of new friends? Try new things, find new challenges and learn new skills? You're in the right place!
Launceston Young Farmers Club is always open to new members.
The myth is that you have to be a farmer to join... the reality is not. Some club members are farmers, but many simply live in the countryside and have connections with farming. Members range in age from 16 to 26 and we're all a friendly bunch, so don't be scared to come along and see what it's all about!
You can join Launceston YFC anytime; see the bottom of this page for more details. Please contact Tim Kenyon (Chairman) if you are interested in coming along.
