travel

As our speaker from Genus pulled out last week, I decided to step in and give the members a talk on my 10 months away travelling, which I got back from a year ago. After showing a big whack of photos, all accompanied by a story or two, I finished up with a video made up of clips I took accompanied by a good soundtrack. Even if I did go on a bit, I think everyone enjoyed it, and there was discussion afterwards amongst a few about getting in gear and going travelling themselves!

About Launceston YFC

Launceston Young Farmers Club was established in 1947 and is run by members for members.

We have weekly meetings on Thursdays which range from talks on homeopathy or photography to activities such as circus skills or beach barbeques and visits to farms, tourist attractions and businesses.

We take part in many competitions and events across the county and country with great sucess, and do the odd bit of socialising as well...

The club is a charitable organisation itself, but we also engage in fundraising events for other charities, raising over £2000 last year.

Members range in age from 16 to 26 and anyone is welcome to join.
